Out of the profiles of learning communication may be my strongest quality.

A wise woman once told me, “Make no assumptions. Assumptions are dangerous.” As I have grown in my professional career and higher education strong communication has made me successful in navigating corporate work environment, networking relationships, and making meaningful connections with people.

Creating visually appealing guidelines became a valuable skill and is a form of communication I have a passion for. Working in hospitality leadership, it was one of the most challenging rolls I have had. Working in a 416 room hotel, over 100 staff members, and providing a high level of customer service required one essential thing, interdepartmental communication. Making no assumptions, I created visual guidelines that every department could find helpful. I enjoyed finding new and creative ways to motivate the team.

S. To communicate with more than one department I made it my mission to create a "All In" board.

T. My goal for this board was to communicate to the team anything that might be coming up, new practices in place, schedule, and even recognising the teams moments of service.

A. I made it my mission to keep the board updated and visually appealing, every week.

R. As time went on and the consistency remained, soon other departments were coming to the front desk not only to speak to me but to see if there were any weekly updates.
